GBG Dagupan conducts gDays workshops
Having these principles, GBG Dagupan and Pangasinan chapters teamed up to conduct a gDAY seminar – a community-organized conference aimed to build an ecosystem of top developers, business and decision makers, students, and just anyone engrossed and interested in the world of technology.
The event, held last May 2 at the Narciso Sports Complex Lingayen, was supported by Google and the Information and Communications Office of the Department of Science and Technology or DOST – ICTO.
While it opens doors of opportunities for the community and entrepreneurs who wanted to become successful by employing Internet in starting and growing their businesses, it also focuses on the introduction of Google products and tools to creating digital strategies.
Under the theme, ‘The GBG Transformation Challenge: Creating and Upgrading Entrepreneurs’, gDays Dagupan kindled the realization on the benefits that a booming world of technology can give
“With innovations and businesses, I’ve learned a lot. I can now use some of the technologies in promoting our products in our municipality”, said Jap Novina, an LGU employee in Laoac.
Different speakers who have already proven themselves in their chosen fields shared their experiences and knowledge to motivate the attendees in engaging in the world of online businesses.
Wilson Chua, head of Bitstop Network Services, said that the event has received more than three hundred people to participate in the event.
“In the coming months, we will see how many actual start-ups can be raised on because of this meaningful event”, he added.
The event ended successfully serving its purpose to connect, inform, and inspire the participants in expanding their online territories and practicing collaboration through the use of the Internet.
GBG shirts and pouches, ballers, and other items were given as souvenirs to the participants who attended the event. A photo booth was also installed for remembrance from the googley experience.
