GAMOT PARA SA KAPWA AT SM
SM
invites its shoppers to give a gift of health to less fortunate communities in
its Gamot Para sa Kapwa campaign.
A joint project of the SM Store and Watsons in
partnership with the Department of Health, the Department of Social Welfare and
Development, and SM Foundation, Gamot
Para sa Kapwa aims to provide quality health assistance to indigent
communities in the country.
This is especially meaningful and timely during the
typhoon season, when quick aid is essential during emergency situations such as
accidents and natural disasters.
Shoppers
do their share by visiting Gamot Para sa
Kapwa booths at all SM Stores from August 1 to September 30, 2014. Here,
they can purchase and donate a Sureaid
Emergency Kit worth P160 exclusively
distributed by Watsons and approved by the Department of Health and Food and
Drug Administration.
Each
kit contains items needed for basic first aid treatment like wound cleansers,
bandage and dressings, basic medicine, and other accessories. Sureaid Emergency Kits purchased are for
donation only. Cash donations are also welcome.
All
donors are also entitled to a P50 coupon to be
redeemed with minimum single receipt purchase of any Watsons brand worth
P350 valid until September 30, 2015.
Gamot Para sa Kapwa was recently launched at SM North Edsa with the
Bago Bantay Health Center as the project’s first beneficiary. DOH Undersecretary Teodoro Herbosa graced the
event, and happily handing the Sureaid
Emergency Kits to the beneficiaries. SM and Watsons officials led by SM Retail
President Jorge Mendiola, SM Store President Cielo Monasterio, SM Retail
Executive VP-Controllership Ricky Lim, and Watsons Philippines Robert Sun
joined him together with SM Foundation Executive Director Connie Angeles.
During the event, it was
announced that many more less fortunate communities from DOH accredited
beneficiaries nationwide will receive Sureaid
Emergency Kits from Watsons.
Give the less fortunate
a gift of good health and join SM’s Gamot
Para sa Kapwa campaign.
